This year's meeting will have a series of workshops lead by Master Marrom; see brief profiles and schedules below

Our Schedule this year will start on the Monday the 14th and continue until the 20th of April; Saturday & Sunday we will have two rooms for classes and a 2 hour(minimal) roda both days; there will be a total of 6 workshops, 5 rodas, talks and socializing. Friday the 18th April will be a celebration of one year of Urban Ritual.

Master Marrom 44 years old
Lives and teaches in Rio-de-Janeiro overseeing an active adult group in Copaleme that also has a solid work with children. Marrom has been visiting Europe for over a decade, he will arrive, as he does each year with an interesting mix of students, masters,friends and his observant, caring attitude. His primary concern has always been the propagation of Capoeira in accordance with his own understanding and vision. Marrom has been my mentor in Capoeira since 1993.

Master Ze-Baiano 58 years old
Lives and teaches in São Paulo, Student of the late Master Gato Preto - student of Cobrinha Verde and Berimbau de ouro da Bahia - Ze-Baiano will be visiting for the first time in the UK and I'm sure he will have a great presence and energy during our meeting.

Tatiana 26 years old
Tatiana is one of the Marrom students that started training in her adolescence; she was recently described to me by one of my students in Rio as a Capoeira ninja!! She is and has always played in a way that I believe epitomizes Capoeira. We will all learn with her and as I remember her ability to instill playfulness will lead you into the trap! Ha ha

Contra Mestre Uri Age unknown…very old!
Long term friend and Capoeira student of Marrom. Uri has been here 5 times, including that historic event when Marrom arrived with 13 of his students in 2000, and always supports the Capoeira wherever he goes. He has a calm mature game that doesn't lack trickery.
